Inspiring Brand Solutions for Ambitious Moms

Like many working women, I experienced a major shift when I decided to start a family. How do I balance my career and family life? For me, that meant working part-time at first. But, like many, my pay barely covered the cost of child care while I was at that job. So, the inevitable decision was made for me to stay at home. I gave up my career with no plans to return to it any time soon.

Being a parent is the hardest but most rewarding job there is. I loved having so much time with my children. But there was also this tug inside me pushing me to do more. I wanted my career back, my own money again, and an identity independent of my family life. So, I used all this drive and ambition to create a freelance career.

The balancing act was hard. I would go to networking events at 7 am so I could make it home in time for my husband to go to his full-time job. I would shuffle the kids around all day from 8 am until they went to bed, and then I would work on my freelance jobs until close to midnight most days. I squeezed it in wherever I could. If the kids were at a play date, I would work, if they were at an activity like a birthday or lessons, I would work. This was so hard, but I made it happen and managed to become fulfilled again while pursuing my dream.

Today, now that all 5 of my children are grown, I want to help other moms do the same. You can balance being a mom and pursue your passions.

our process

5-week intensive design roadmap

Week 1: A blank slate

We begin with a 1-1 call to determine your business needs, visions, and mission so we can create the best roadmap to reach your goals. We then do a deep dive to understand who exactly your audience is so we can create designs that resonate with both you and your target audience. By the end of step one, you will feel confident having clear, actionable steps over the next X weeks working together that we will implement into your business.

Week 2: A brand that resonates

Now we can get into the fun and creative side of developing your business, a brand! Since we already have the tone set through the goals and mission, we can attach color theory to those words and create a brand that will really resonate with your audience and communicate the feelings and emotions behind your business. Here, we will first develop a mood board to nail down the feeling you want the brand to have; then, we can develop a logo that does the same. Once these have been finalized, it’s time to create a style guide that will include your new typography, logo variations, color pallet, and imagery, which you can pass on to other designers who will eventually work on your brand.

Week 3: crafting your message

It’s time to craft your content! Using the market research we did in step one, we know the pain points and desires of your audience. We’ll do a bit of keyword research and generate keyword-rich content that will eventually elevate the site’s rank through SEO.

Week 4: Building your presence

Based on the business goals from Step 1, it’s time to choose the best tool for your website. From there, we’ll pick a simple, elegant template or theme to customize with your brand’s style and newly generated content that will communicate your story, products, or services.

Week 5: Passing the test

It’s time for a test. It’s best to have your friends and family test the new website to ensure it works. I will also perform checks using AI tools to ensure it’s set up to generate traffic and rank from the moment we launch it. Any feedback we get will be implemented. Continual testing and improvement are recommended throughout the site’s life.
